Duracell Launches New Batteries
cell is preparing to launch a line of improved Duracell Ultra alkaline batteries, which the manufacturer says will offer an additional 20% performance advantage over the original product introduced just one year ago.
In June, the company will begin shipping new Duracell Ultra alkaline batteries in AA, AAA, C, D and 9V sizes to food, drug, mass merchandise, photo, toy, office superstore and other outlets. A 2-Pack of C size will be priced for retail at about $3.99, reflecting an increase for the entire new line of approximately 20% over suggested retail prices for regular Duracell alkalines.
Duracell says its improved Ultra will last up to 60% longer in flash cameras and up to 80% longer than standard alkaline batteries in cellular phones and digital cameras.
Duracell is also introducing Duracell Ultra photo lithium batteries in 123, 223, 245 and CR2 sizes. They will begin shipping this month.
