Parco Offers Profitability Tape

Foods has introduced a program on videotape designed to help boost in-store bakeries' profitability.

With a focus on how to merchandise products more effectively, the video, "Parco's Weekly Profit Planner," provides tips to help bakery staffers of all levels of experience create displays that sell, said Charlie Hoch, marketing manager.

The company plans to provide a new planner with holiday theme ideas approximately every four months, Hoch said.

Parco is a manufacturer and marketer of a variety of bakery products.

Dawn Offers New Cake Mix Line

JACKSON, Mich. -- Dawn Food Products has introduced a new line of premium, add-oil formula cake mixes.

Called Camelot, the line includes devil's food, yellow and vanilla-flavored white varieties. The mixes are designed for higher yields and greater moisture retention than other lines, the company said.

Dawn, a manufacturer of bakery mixes and bases, also provides icings, fillings, frozen products and equipment.
