The site was chosen because Mexico is an important export market for U.S. produce, according to Grant M. Hunt, chairman of PMA's retail division, and president of Grant J. Hunt Co., Oakland, Calif.

The tour will visit supermarket chains in Mexico City, including Comercial Mexicana, Aurrera, Auperama, Grupo Gigante and Wal-Mart, and Central de Abastos, Mexico's largest wholesale market.

Floramor Opens Chicago Branch

MIAMI -- Floramor Inc. here, an importer, processor and distributor of fresh-cut flowers, has opened a branch in Chicago.

The Chicago branch, which will operate under the name Festival Bouquet, is equipped to produce bouquets, flower arrangements and other value-added floral items. Joanne Torres, a former sales manager at Floramor's Miami branch, has been named manager of the Chicago operation.

Floramor, a subsidiary of Dibrell Bros., Danville, Va., specializes in the production of bouquets, arrangements and other floral items for retail operations.
