A sampling: Vendange wines will sport neck-hangers containing mini DVDs of turkey cooking demonstrations, plus side dish recipes. Other neck-hangers will contain coupons for Butterball turkeys, Stove Top stuffing and Swanson broth. Talus Collection reds will offer wine coupons, mail-in offers for Wine Spectator magazine and wine gift bags. Alice White is teaming up with corporate sibling St. Pauli Girl on a co-promotion that gives purchasers a discount when they buy both. And Twin Fin will use point-of-sale materials to promote a partnership in which a portion of sales will go to benefit an environmental organization.
NEW PROGRAM SEEKS TO HALT UNDERAGE SALES
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- A new retailer program designed to prevent alcoholic beverage sales to minors kicked off here earlier this month and could be expanded beyond Wisconsin, organizers said. Miller Brewing announced that it developed the Respect 21 Responsible Retailing Program in partnership with the Federal Trade Commission. The program is designed to help retailers develop best practices for verifying a customer's age and preventing underage access to alcohol, according to Miller.
