LOS ANGELES -- Funeral services have been held here for Arthur N. Reicher, 82, a longtime supermarket executive and financial adviser to Unified Western Grocers here. Reicher worked for Better Foods, a chain founded by his father and uncle, before taking some of the stores and forming Kory's Market, a five-store independent operator in the early 1950s. He spent 18 years as a director of Certified Grocers of California, predecessor company to Unified, before leaving the board when he sold his stores to Boys Markets in 1973. However, he was asked to rejoin the board as a special consultant on financial matters -- a post he held for 31 years, until his retirement last year. Reicher is survived by his wife, Phyllis, a son, a daughter and three grandchildren.
