Marketing will include print and broadcast advertising, in-store communications, consumer promotions and direct marketing. The two products will be available early next spring. Venus Vibrance is a power wet shaving system for women, using the same technology as the M3Power. The system includes the refillable razor, one cartridge, a storage compact and a AAA Duracell battery at a suggested retail price range of $9.99 to $11.99. A package of four retail cartridges will have SRPs of $9.99 to $11.99. The Venus disposable will retail for $6.49 to $7.99.
PRESIDENTIAL PROMOTION
CENTURY CITY, Calif. -- Supported by a targeted marketing campaign of radio and online advertising and a direct-mail program to Republican and Christian organizations, Fox Home Entertainment here will release "Ronald Reagan: An American President" on Jan. 25. The two-disc set includes a documentary and photo montages among other features. Proceeds from the title benefit the Reagan Library. The DVD will have a suggested retail price of $29.98.
POCKETFUL OF FUN
PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Educational learning is as close as a child's pocket this winter with the release of a line of "Pocket Snails" DVDs and CDs Feb. 22, from Soaring Star Productions. Beginning with the release of "Pocket Snails Letter Adventure," the series will be available for suggested retail prices of $15.95 on DVD, and $12.95 on VHS. Each title in the series will have the same price. Also available on Feb. 22 will be "Pocket Snails Letter Adventure and other Snaily Songs" on CD for $14.95. The DVD has received a number of awards, including Dr. Toy's 10 Best Educational Products for 2004, Dr. Toy's 100 Best Children's Products for 2004, Creative Child Magazine's Seal of Excellence 2004, iParenting Media Awards Hottest Products for 2004, and the Award of Excellence from the Film Advisory Board.
BOB THE BROADCASTER
ALLEN, TexAS -- Bob's building himself a new broadcast home at PBS Kids. Beginning in January, PBS Kids will host the broadcast premiere of some Bob the Builder episodes that have never been seen on television. Meanwhile, a new direct-to-video Bob the Builder title was released this fall, called "Snowed Under: The Bobblesburg Winter Games." A number of other direct-to-video titles are on shelves already as well, including "Bob the Builder Live!" and "Dig! Lift! Haul!"
