    ATLANTA — Just in time for spring, EcoSMART Technologies has released a new line of organic insecticides. Made with natural oils like wintergreen and rosemary, as well as other GRAS ingredients, the sprays are safe to use around pets and children. They also have a minimal effect on the environment, according to the company. They're available in three varieties that target more than a dozen types of bugs. Suggested retail is $6.39 for a 14-ounce can.

  3. SMALL SIPS

    MOUNT FREEDOM, N.J. — The First Juice company has released a line of organic fruit and vegetable juices for toddlers. Available in two flavors, Apple + Carrot and Banana + Carrot, the new offerings are low in sugar, made with purified water and fortified with calcium and vitamins to support growing bodies. Suggested retail is $1.99 to $2.49 for the 8-ounce on-the-go bottle, and $3.29 to $3.99 for the 32-ounce version.

  4. GOOD GRAINS

    BAYPORT, N.Y. — The Wenner Bread Products company has joined the burgeoning whole-grain bread category with its new Hearty and Healthy Grains line. The frozen dough is ideal for in-store bakery programs. Included are several varieties — sub rolls, Italian loaves and dinner rolls, to name a few. Each offering is free of preservatives, trans fat and high-fructose corn syrup.

  5. KID-FRIENDLY

    SAN FRANCISCO — Del Monte Foods has released a line of canned fruit products for kids. Preservative-free, low in sugar and fortified with vitamins and added calcium, Del Monte Healthy Kids is the company's latest offering to target kids and their health-conscious parents. Available in peach and fruit cocktail varieties. Suggested retail is $1.57 per 15-ounce can.

  6. OUT TO PASTURE

    LA FARGE, Wis. — Organic Valley has just introduced Pasture Butter, a new addition to its line of spreads. Each 8-ounce stick is made using milk from grass-fed cows that are pastured May through September — the greenest time of the year. It's also lightly salted and contains essential fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6. Suggested retail is $3.69.

  7. SWEET TOMATO

    NEW YORK — Wholemato has unveiled a new condiment with a healthy twist. Instead of high-fructose corn syrup, Wholemato's Organic Agave Ketchup uses nectar from the desert-loving agave plant. The result, according to the company, is a taste that's still sweet; it's also low glycemic, which is good news for diabetics. Available in 12-ounce bottles at a suggested retail of $4.99.

    LOS ANGELES — New to shelves this season is Sweet Fiber, a calorie-free sweetener made from all-natural ingredients. Instead of sugar, Sweet Fiber utilizes a combination of extracts and flavors, including luo han guo and chicory root fiber. The result, the company claims, is sweet but without any bad aftertaste. Available in boxes of 50 individual packets for $6.99 or in a 250-gram shaker for $8.99.
