David McConnell, who recently retired from his role as president and CEO of the Global Market Development Center, has been named president and CEO of Making Change (previously known as Food for All), a non-profit that implements point-of-purchase and manufacturer-driven fundraising programs in U.S. grocery stores.
In his new role, McConnell will provide oversight of general and fundraising operations, promote business development and provide financial governance. Prior to his appointment, he served as a board member for the organization from 2002-2005.
"I am extremely excited to welcome Dave into the leadership role of making change,” said Larry McCurry, chairman of Making Change, in a press release. “Dave's experience and expertise will navigate us through the next phase for our organization. We hope to build and expand upon our 30-year history and legacy in the food industry. I look forward to working closely with Dave during the months ahead."
