MIDDLETOWN, N.J. — Food Circus Super Markets, a 10-unit Foodtown operator based here, last week said it has named Louis J. Scaduto Jr. president of the company, according to reports. He succeeds Joe Azzolina Sr., who died last month. Scaduto, who began working at the company at age 14, previously had been executive vice president and chief operating officer. The company is owned by the Azzolina and Scaduto families.

PRICE CHOPPER TAPS ZEH AS CIO

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper Supermarkets last week said Greg Zeh has been promoted to vice president of information systems and chief information officer. He reports to John Endres, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Zeh joined Price Chopper in 1997, and most recently was vice president of information systems.

RIESBECK'S BRAIDO TO CHAIR OGA

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Grocers Association said Leo Braido, director of sales and marketing for Riesbeck Food Markets, St. Clairsville, has been elected chairman. Other newly elected members of OGA's executive committee are John Zagara, owner of Zagara's Marketplace, Cleveland Heights, vice chair, operations; Bill Artman, regional vice president at the Bedford Heights offices of Giant Eagle, Pittsburgh, vice chair, annual events; Ron Graff Jr., owner of Columbiana Foods, Youngstown, vice chair, government relations; and Wally Wagner Jr., president of Wagner's IGA, Minster, vice chair of membership.

SCOTT NAMED COO AT SERVICES FIRM

NEW YORK — ICC/Decision Services said it has named Eileen Scott chief operating officer. Scott was formerly chief executive officer of Pathmark Stores. ICC/Decision Services designs and executes customer experience management programs, utilizing such business tools as mystery shopping, shopper intercepts, iPhone applications and employee engagement. Scott said she's looking forward “to helping our clients hear the voices of their customers and use actionable metrics to drive sustained customer experience improvement.” Scott spent 30 years with Pathmark, serving as CEO from October 2002 until the company was sold to A&P in 2005. She subsequently went to graduate school at the Stern School of Business at New York University, earning an MBA in finance in January 2009.

GMA'S SIBERT JOINS DIAMOND FOODS

SAN FRANCISCO — Diamond Foods here said it has named former Grocery Manufacturers Association executive Stephen Sibert vice president of corporate affairs and communications, a newly created post at the CPG firm. Sibert most recently was senior vice president of industry affairs at GMA, where he spent 15 years. Before that, he spent eight years with the Retail Industry Leaders Association. At Diamond, he reports to Linda Segre, senior vice president of corporate strategy and communications. Todd Turner, vice president of industry affairs at GMA, is assuming Sibert's responsibilities on an interim basis, a GMA spokeswoman told SN.

NJFC TAPS DELORETO FOR GOV. AFFAIRS

TRENTON — The New Jersey Food Council here said last week it has hired Mike DeLoreto as director of government affairs. He was previously chief of staff for Democratic New Jersey Assemblyman Reed Gusciora, and interned for former State Sen. Leonard Lance, now a Republican U.S. Rep.
