Hy-Vee said Tuesday that it had promoted Jay Marshall to the role of chief operating officer.
Marshall, Hy-Vee's EVP and chief retail officer, is just the fourth person in Hy-Vee's history to hold that title. Marshall will retain all responsibility for retail operations and store development and will assume responsibility for all merchandising areas in the coming months.
The company, headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa, also elected eight new board members to one-year terms at the meeting.
