The Raley’s Cos. has tapped Jen Warner as president of the Raley’s division, following the completion of the Western grocer’s acquisition of The Bashas’ Co. last month.

With the promotion, announced Tuesday, Warner will lead the West Sacramento, Calif.-based company’s Raley’s business unit, which includes 123 grocery stores in northern California and Nevada under the Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods and Raley’s O-N-E Market banners. She reports to Keith Knopf, president and CEO of The Raley’s Cos.

In addition, Warner will continue to serve as president of Apium Logistics, a last-mile delivery services firm founded with an investment from the Teel family. Michael Teel is owner and chairman of The Raley’s Cos.

“Jen is a talented and dedicated leader. She has been instrumental in working with the leadership team to execute our long-range strategic plan and complete our recent acquisitions,” Knopf said in a statement. “Jen cares deeply about our team and the communities served by the Raley’s stores. We are fortunate to have such an agile and capable leader to step into this important leadership role at this time of growth and transformation.”

Warner (left) joined Raley’s in May 2020 as chief administrative officer, coming over from Apium, where she served as president of Apium Delivery. Previously, she held legal and compliance executive roles in several public companies in the retail and supply chain sectors, including Columbia Sportwear, XPO Logistics and Con-way Inc.

“Since joining Raley’s, I’ve had the opportunity to work with our team to build The Raley’s Cos. portfolio. It has been an energizing and exciting time, working with dedicated, purpose driven leaders,” Warner commented. “I am honored to serve in this new role as president. I want to thank Keith Knopf, the entire leadership team, the Teel family and the board for the opportunity. We have an incredible team, and I look forward to working closely with our operations leaders and store teams as we continue to grow the business together, with a focus on our people and purpose.”

Edward “Trey” Basha, the former president and CEO of Chandler, Ariz.-based Bashas’,  serves as the president of the Bashas’ operating division.

With the addition of Bashas’, a deal announced in October, The Raley’s Cos. now operates more than 235 stores across California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico, as well as in four Tribal Nations, under the banners Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods, Raley’s O-N-E Market, Bashas’, Food City, AJ’s Fine Foods and Bashas’ Diné Market.
