Don McIntyre, SVP of national supply chain and strategy for United Natural Foods, Inc., and the company's former Western region president, has announced plans to depart the distributor, the company said in a filing.
McIntyre's resignation will be effective as of the close of business on Jan. 15, UNFI said. The Providence, R.I.-based company did not name a successor or give a reason for his departure.
Late last year, CFO Mark Shamber left UNFI after 12 years with the company in order to explore new opportunities.
McIntrye joined UNFI in 2012 as president of its Western region. In 2013 he took on additional duties as SVP with responsibility for inbound logistics, national inventory planning and replenishment, and commercial strategy.
Prior to joining UNFI McIntyre served as CEO of Claridge Foods and spent several years in executive positions with Sara Lee including CEO of Sara Lee Coffee & Tea.
