Ridgeland police are searching for five women suspected in connection with a grocery store heist.Surveillance video caught the scam in action, police said. Several women are shown on the video distracting a clerk while another moved to the back of Van Hung Asian Market on U.S. 51.Click here for surveillance photos and video.One of the women, who police believe is the ringleader, is seen on the video walking into the back office while another woman stands nearby to block the clerk's view. Nearly 10 minutes later, the woman walked out of the office with what police said was the store's deposit.Lt. John Neal said investigators believe the women may have hit the store before."This case came to us on Nov. 15. We looked at some of our older cases where this has happened before and this same store was victimized back in March of 2013 in this manner," Neal said. "We believe that some of these individuals are the same ones that entered the store on that date."Surveillance video shows the women leaving the store in two minivans, one white and the other gray.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
