ABBOT PARK, Ill. — Abbott Laboratories and its ZonePerfect Nutrition group have introduced a line of dark chocolate nutrition bars. Available in three flavors that include almond, strawberry and a double-dark blend, each all-natural bar contains 12 grams of protein and 19 essential vitamins and minerals. Suggested retail is $1.29 for one bar, and $5.99 for a five-bar multipack.

On a Roll

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Kahiki Foods, maker of more than 70 Asian-themed frozen food products, has just released vegetable egg rolls. As part of the company’s “Naturals” line, the new egg rolls contain cabbage and carrots, all rolled up in a flaxseed-and-wheat wrapper. Kahiki’s trademark EasyCrisp microwavable sleeves help heat the rolls in just two and a half minutes. Suggested retail is $4.99 for a package of three egg rolls.

Fine Soda

BERKELEY, Calif. — New to supermarket shelves this summer is Wine Country Soda, from California manufacturer Vignette. Sweetened using varietal grape juice sourced from in-state vineyards, the novel beverage comes in three varieties: chardonnay, pinot noir and rosé. Each is alcohol- and caffeine-free. Available in 12-ounce glass bottles at a suggested retail of $2 to $3 for one bottle, and $8 to $10 for a four-pack.

Go Garlic

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. — New to shelves this season is Garlic Delight, a dip from specialty produce company Frieda’s. Made from a short list of all-natural ingredients — canola oil, garlic, lemon juice and salt — the new offering is free of cholesterol and trans fats. Available in four flavors including original, chipotle, sun-dried tomato and green olive. Suggested retail is $4.99 for a 7-ounce tub.

Good Goat

WATERBURY, Vt. — Canus, maker of goat’s milk skin care products, has just released a line of beauty care offerings using olive oil and wheat protein. The new introductions include soap bars, body butter, lotion and a body wash. The new formula provides vitamin E and antioxidants, which the company says help soothe and restore sensitive skin. Suggested retail ranges from $2.99 for a 5-ounce soap bar to $11.99 for 8 ounces of body butter.

Fresh Meals

SAN FRANCISCO — Urban Leaf, makers of gourmet, all-natural meals, soups and sauces, has just introduced new entree offerings, including Thai Coconut Seafood Noodle Soup, Red Curry Shrimp with Noodles and Thai Seafood Paella. Each meal component comes in separate pouches; all that’s needed is to combine and heat everything in the microwave-safe container that’s provided. Suggested retail is $6.99 to $7.99.

Olive Oiled

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Unilever has just released a healthy twist on a time-honored spread. The company’s new olive oil-infused Hellmann’s mayonnaise — made using Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil — has 50% less fat than regular mayonnaise, with just five grams of fat and 50 calories per serving. The new mayo is also an excellent source of omega-3s, according to the company. Suggested retail is $3.99 for a 30-ounce jar.
