CIO Homa Leaving Hannaford in July

William Homa, Hannaford Bros.' longtime chief information officer, will be leaving the company July 1.

SCARBOROUGH, Maine — William Homa, Hannaford Bros.’ longtime chief information officer, will be leaving the company July 1. His replacement has not yet been found. “We are actively working on a transition,” said Michael Norton, company spokesman. Homa told SN that he’s “looking to work for another retailer and help them build a world-class supply chain and IT infrastructure.” Homa, who joined Hannaford as CIO in 1996, has helped the chain implement a number of advanced technology applications, including computer-assisted ordering, a Linux-based POS system and IP telephony.
