ROSEMONT, Ill. — Giant Eagle, Pittsburgh, Schnuck Markets, St. Louis, and CVS/pharmacy, Woonsocket, R.I., were among the recipients of the first Leader Awards presented at the LEAD Marketing Conference here this week.
The awards, sponsored by IBM, Armonk, N.Y., recognized excellence in loyalty, engagement, analytics and digital applications for retailers and consumer goods manufacturers.
Other winners included Stouffers, Solon, Ohio; Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Dallas; Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick, N.J.; Barilla America, Bannockburn, Ill.; and L.L. Bean, Freeport, Maine.
"The common theme among all the winners was creativity resulting from economic choices," said Richard Essigs, director of consumer products industry, IBM. "They focused on outcomes and on using integrated information, and that leads to more effective collaboration."
