Mi Pueblo Set to Open in Palo Alto

The community has several smaller mom-and-pop stores, but the nearest supermarket is at least five miles away, she told SN.

The store will be a 35,000-square-foot supermarket located in a former Circuit City that has been vacant for at least a year. East Palo Alto has a largely Hispanic population, with large numbers of African-Americans and Pacific Islanders, Rodriguez said.

As at all of its stores, Mi Puelbo will offer free shuttle service to drive customers home, she added.
