NGA Renames Annual Convention

ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Grocers Association here said it is changing the name of its annual meeting to "The NGA Show — Where Independents Gather."

ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Grocers Association here said it is changing the name of its annual meeting to "The NGA Show — Where Independents Gather."

The name for the past several years has been the NGA Annual Convention and Supermarket Synergy Showcase.

The change was made; the association said in a press release, so the event could be "readily identified by our members and the industry."

NGA also announced the launch of a new website, www.thengashow.com, which it said provides a comprehensive overview of the show for retailers and exhibitors.

According to Peter Larkin, president and chief executive officer, "We have spent a lot of time over the last year listening to suggestions and ideas, and we have taken these into consideration at every step of the re-design process. We are pleased to share our new website as an efficient, user-friendly and centralized hub to deliver information to the independent grocery community about The NGA Show."
