GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A locally produced line of private-label ice cream called Indulgent Creations has debuted at Spartan Stores.
In addition to the four core flavors Double Vanilla, Toasted Butter Pecan, Mint Chip and Double Dark Chocolate, the Michigan-made brand includes seasonal varieties available for a three-month period each year.
Michigan Blueberry and Peaches & Cream flavors will hit freezers in the summer, while Honey & Caramel and Apple Pie ice cream will be available in the fall.
White Christmas, a mint flavored ice cream made with candy shaped like stockings and Christmas trees, is only available in December. Cartons retail for $4.59.
“Spartan Indulgent Creations are made in Michigan and many of its finest flavorings and ingredients are sourced locally,” said Alan Hartline, executive vice president for merchandising and marketing, Spartan Stores, in a statement. “Supporting Michigan companies and farmers is extremely important to Spartan Stores and we’re very pleased that we have West Michigan connections for this premium line of ice cream.”
Indulgent Creations is available at D&W Fresh Market, Family Fare, Felpausch, Glen’s Market and VG’s Stores, as well as nearly 400 independent stores selling Spartan Stores brand products.
