WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Gluten-free living is the most popular subject of Hy-Vee's new health and wellness online forum.
As of today, gluten-free living is the subject of 19 posts and 1,168 views. Vegetarian foods come in second.
One post was a request that the chain carry Naked Nuggets, grilled chicken nuggets with no breading, while another asked about the pros and cons of gluten-free flour blends.
Another forum member said she wants to buy less expensive gluten-free foods, and asked if Hy-Vee carries private label gluten-free products.
Hy-Vee dietitian Alexandra Economy responded that Hy-Vee has developed an extensive line of gluten-free private-label products. She included a link to the listing.
"This listing allows people who eat gluten-free to know what everyday food items will be safe for them to consume," Economy wrote.
