DULUTH, Ga. — NCR Corp. here announced Wednesday it was converting DVDPlay kiosks at 105 Tom Thumb and Randalls stores in Dallas, Houston and Austin to Blockbuster Express-branded DVD-rental kiosks.
NCR acquired DVDPlay in December 2009 to expand its market share in states such as California, Colorado and Illinois. DVDPlay had been deployed in stores at Safeway, Pleasanton, Calif., the parent company of Tom Thumb and Randalls.
