AUSTIN, Texas — Whole Foods Market is targeting young parents with a baby photo contest.

Parents can upload pictures of their babies eating baby food to their Flickr account and add it to the Whole Foods Market “Baby’s Favorite Foods” group for a chance to win a $250 Canon Powershot SD-880 IS Digital Camera; a $75 gift basket filled with Whole Baby products; or a $25 Whole Foods gift card.

“Oh yeah, you know you got them — pics of your little angel trying out their first bite of solid food,” Whole Foods writes on its website. “Well, we want to see them.”

Babies will be judged on several criteria, including personality and the quality of the photograph. The deadline for all entries is March 13. Seventh Generation, Earth’s Best, Stonyfield Farm and Peter Rabbit Organics are among the manufacturer sponsors of the contest. Coupons for all sponsors are available at wholefoods.com.

Whole Baby is the name of the retailer’s free guide that includes pregnancy and parenting content. The contest is part of Whole Foods "Be Good to Your Whole Body" campaign in its Whole Body departments.

Throughout March, special offers and discounts, educational podcasts and in-store lectures will offer lifestyle tips and ideas for choosing natural alternatives to support a healthy start for families. Topics will include prenatal top priorities, options for natural baby care, tips and concerns for breastfeeding moms and Top 10 "first food" facts.
