BOULDER, Colo. -- New research into health and wellness issues and the Internet shows that “blogosphere” conversations are both numerous and predominantly positive, with bloggers frequently mentioning organic and natural foods and other issues related to health-conscious dietary choices. Umbria, the research firm that conducted the survey, found that online discussion about organic eating habits and health trends was split evenly between males and females, even though female bloggers tend to dominate other food-related topics. Umbria also determined that there‘s a significant divergence in age regarding the topic. Boomer males (aged 45-62) and Gen Y females (aged 15-30) represented more than half of the total online conversations on organic eating. The topics discussed most often during the study period included dairy, meat, sweeteners, fats and preservatives, according to Umbria officials.
