EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market last week announced the rollout of 250 new Fresh & Easy private-label foods, including prepared meals, juices, brewed teas, and soy and goat yogurt, as well as a range of ready-to-grill meats.
One new item that is already available at the Tesco subsidiary's 61 locations in California, Nevada and Arizona is a mixed grill pack, which contains four sausages, four beef patties, four chicken thighs and four drumsticks, priced at $9.99. Other products in the new lineup will be introduced during the next three months.
“We are delighted customers have responded so well to our own-brand foods,” Tim Mason, chief executive officer of Fresh & Easy, said in a release. “We know our popular ready meals — such as our mango chicken and beef lasagna — give families a great value alternative to takeout, and now there will be plenty more for customers to choose from.”
Fresh & Easy officials also said that customer feedback — drawn from messages sent to the company's website, along with comment cards, commissioned surveys and focus groups — had led the company to develop new in-store signs and a brighter color scheme. The new designs will be incorporated into all of the chain's stores by July 2 this summer.
“We continue to listen to our customers and look for ways to make our shopping trip even better,” Mason said.
