Wegmans overhauls two more Pub restaurants

The Pub at Wegmans restaurants at stores in Collegeville and Malvern, Penn., reopened earlier this month with refreshed décor and an updated menu.

The retailer had introduced a new menu at the Pub in King of Prussia, Penn., in January. Wegmans operates five Pub restaurants.

For the Collegeville and Malvern Pubs, Wegmans added linen napkins, curtains to separate the restaurant from the store, and more low tables ideal for families.

New menu items include Yuengling beer-steamed PEI mussels with shallot-thyme butter and a warm baguette, San Marzano tomato naan pizza and the Pub cheeseburger. The restaurants also offer alcoholic beverages like the Tale Chaser IPA, made exclusively for Wegmans by Sly Fox brewery in Phoenixville, Penn., and Peak of Perfection Sangria, made with fresh fruit and sold by the glass or carafe.

In addition, Wegmans will now let servers accept tips at the two restaurants. Other Pubs had previously allowed tipping.

“We think customers will love what we’ve done to make these popular dining spots even more appealing,” Kathy Haines, Wegmans’ director of in-store restaurants, said in a press release. “We’ve learned a lot since opening our first Pub about five years ago, and when customers have suggested changes that could improve the experience, we’ve listened.”
