Yummy.com, a Los Angeles-based grocery delivery company, opened its sixth store in a mid-city location in early February. Each store services an area of about 30 miles.
The company — founded in 2002 by Barnaby Montgomery and other non-grocery executives — is focused on serving the targeted needs of Millennials and Millennial-minded consumers.
Stores of 4,500 square feet carry approximately 4,000 SKUs and are open to the public, though 80% of orders are done online and close to 20% by phone.
Orders are picked from the store aisles by Yummy.com personnel and delivered within 30 minutes at a cost of $4.99 for a minimum order of $17.50.

Vans deliver up to three orders per run, usually traveling an average of 12 miles.
