The layout of Costco’s store in Atlanta is one of the “most modern” for the retailer, according to produce buyer Frank Padilla. The store features extensive perishables departments, packaged and frozen foods, as well as general merchandise and other services.
The meat department highlights Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand as well as USDA Choice beef.

Loose produce is merchandised in boxes and palettes. Many packaged items that need to be kept cold are displayed in a separate walk-in refrigerated room.
Making the cut

Costco’s bakery sells ready-made sheet cakes for special occasions.

The store includes a large wine department.

Costco’s deli features take home meals like chicken and pizza.
At the food court, customers can order fresh meals and snacks to go or to eat in the store.
Padilla said this location has “all the bells and whistles,” including a pharmacy, optical center and gas pumps.
