Brookshire Grocery Co. this month reopened newly remodeled stores in Chandler and Tyler, Texas. Here, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted at Brookshire’s in Chandler on July 8. Mayor Libby Fulgham, Chamber of Commerce executive director Rick Ford and Brookshire Grocery Co. president and CEO Rick Rayford addressed the crowd at the ceremony, and store director Mike Wilson also presented charitable donations to God’s Open Hands, Chandler Elementary and the Chandler Volunteer Fire Department.
Both supermarket renovations feature a new storefront and a single, relocated entrance. Other cosmetic updates include new interior and exterior signage, paint, lighting and décor, along with many energy-efficient and sustainable features such as polished concrete flooring and an automated lighting control system for refrigerated and freezer cases. The stores also received new check stands, new customer restrooms and a new fleet of shopping carts, plus at Chandler a new fuel center and a drive-thru pharmacy window.
