Bilingual signs welcome customers as Fiesta Mart this week reopened a renovated Houston-area store, an event company officials heralded as the start of a long-term repositioning for the Internationally focused brand.
“The grand re-opening is part of a long-term reinvigoration of the Fiesta brand and [its] commitment to provide uncompromised freshness, great value and unsurpassed variety every day,” the Houston-based company said in a statement. The Aug. 31 event will kick off several store redesigns throughout the state for Fiesta, which acquired 11 Minyard Food Store locations this summer.
Fiesta operates 70 stores in the Houston, Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth markets, and is known for an emphasis on international and specialty foods, offering products from around the globe, serving customers from more than 100 countries of origin.
The store features fresh fruit arranged in a series of baskets and a variety of fresh fish in a service seafood department.
Tables display fresh-baked items at the renovated Fiesta Mart store.
An assortment of fresh cakes is displayed in the bakery.
Hand-painted signs on corrugated metal bring a funky feel to the new store.
A kitchen preparing fresh foods including Mexican specialties is a feature of the newly designed store.
The store also has an apparel section with basics at sharp prices, and a renovated checkout area.
