Over a half million chargers sold at Costco recalled
There were two reports of the devices causing house fires
Over half a million chargers sold at Costco have been recalled after multiple reports of overheating and two home fires linked to the device.
The MyCharge Power Hub All-In-One 10,000mAH portable chargers with model numbers AO10FK-A, AO10FK-B, and AO10FK-C were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recalled portable chargers have a date code printed on the outer surface of the wall prong. Date codes included in the recall end with 21 or 22, or are one of the following four date codes ending in 23: 0123, 0923, 1523, or 1723.
The chargers were sold at Costco stores and online between January 2022 and November 2023.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the lithium-ion batteries in the chargers should be disposed of in accordance with any local and state ordinances, and consumers should immediately stop using the devices and contact MyCharge for a free replacement.
