CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — The Dodo Bag Co. is launching a new line of eight reusable eco-friendly canvas bags for grocery shopping, running errands or any activity in a busy schedule, the company said. The Dodo Bag Co. will donate a portion of the sale of each bag to the protection of endangered species, as well as restoration and clean-up projects. The minimum order is 20 with a suggested retail price of $12.50-$15. They are made from unbleached cotton and are machine washable.

NEW YORK — Barney and Friends are getting ready to throw a super-dee-duper surprise party in the all-new DVD “Barney & Friends: Dino-Mite Birthday.” From HIT Entertainment here and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Los Angeles, the DVD release on Sept. 11 will correspond with a 20-city nationwide tour where Barney will visit children at Children's Miracle Network hospitals. Barney will also host meet-and-greet birthday parties at Toys “R” Us stores during the tour. In addition, JAKKS Pacific, Malibu, Calif., is launching a new Barney product line that includes plush, preschool musical instruments, a musical cell phone, laptop and push and go vehicles.

ATLANTA — Goody Products here is partnering with the nonprofit Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Ardmore, Pa., for its third annual “Comfort Meets Cause” campaign, this time with the help of top celebrities including Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Simpson, and the cast of “Grey's Anatomy.” From September through October, pink ribbon Goody Ouchless hairbrushes and accessories will be available and Goody will donate 5% of the proceeds to the charity. A national, two-month online celebrity brush auction will also take place on the Goody website through Oct. 31.
