Food orders filled by five St. Louis-area Schnucks stores

Schnuck Markets has partnered with last-mile delivery specialist DoorDash to provide prepared foods through the DoorDash mobile app or website.

Schnucks said Monday that five of its supermarkets in the St. Louis area will fulfill orders placed via DoorDash. Food options include prepared items from the Schnucks deli department, such as rotisserie chickens, sandwiches, chicken wings, pulled pork, side dishes and side salads.

Customers can place a DoorDash order by using the Schnucks Rewards app and choosing the “DoorDash” link or by using the DoorDash website or app directly. Orders are typically delivered within 30 minutes, based on DoorDash driver availability and demand, and taxes, delivery and service fees will apply, according to St. Louis-based Schnucks.

“To complement our Schnucks Delivers partnership with Instacart, we’re also proud to bring our customers their favorite Schnucks prepared foods items via DoorDash,” Geoff Wexler, vice president of deli and prepared foods at Schnuck Markets, said in a statement. “Through this new partnership, our customers can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner from Schnucks without ever having to leave their home or business.”

DoorDash will deliver to addresses within six miles of the Schnucks locations in Brentwood (8800 Manchester Rd.), Dorsett (2030 Dorsett Rd.), Zumbehl (1950 Zumbehl Rd.), Lindell (4171 Lindell Blvd.) and Woods Mill (1060 Woods Mill Rd.), Mo.

Through March 22, DoorDash is offering customers 20% off their first order from Schnucks, with a $5 maximum discount and a $15 minimum purchase.

Schnucks recently has been enhancing its meal offerings. In January, the retailer announced a new quick-made meal program called Restaurant Selections by Schnucks that will offer “meals in minutes” entrees rotated according to a bimonthly theme, beginning in March.

In the St. Louis area, Schnucks also partners with locally owned restaurants to sell their meals at selected stores. Called Local Grab and Go, the program was launched in April and then expanded in July. It currently has 19 restaurant partners.

Overall, Schnuck Markets operates 111 stores in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
