Rite Aid enters the beauty business

New collection touts clean ingredients

Rite Aid has announced the launch of its new RYSHI brand — its own collection of clean beauty and personal care essentials. The national drugstore chain’s beauty line spans several categories offering products under $20.

The RYSHI collection offers items including:

  • Gua shas/facial massagers
  • Facial wipes
  • Hydrogel eye masks
  • Sheet masks
  • Vegan eyelashes
  • Makeup applicators
  • Eyelash curlers
  • Hand cream
  • Body wash
  • Cotton balls/rounds
  • Sunscreen
  • Dry brushes
  • Nail care
  • Razors

The RYSHI line already has more than 300 products, with plans to expand offerings throughout 2023.

Rite Aid is the latest of other grocers to jump on the opportunity to get into beauty. Dollar General put out new store layouts involving beauty, skin, and hair care shopping options in March. Similar to Rite Aid, Dollar General also has plans to add more than 1,000 supplementary beauty items throughout 2023.

The beauty industry generates more than $100 billion in revenue worldwide and supermarkets are getting in on the action. With the latest Trends Report by Natural Grocers, the supermarket predicted sustainability as a huge driver for health and beauty sales.
