KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Associated Wholesale Grocers said it has promoted Jeff Pedersen to senior vice president of member services, a newly created position.
In this new role, he will have responsibility for strategic and managerial oversight of corporate sales and development, education and training, and communications.

The move follows the retirement in January of Steve Dillard as vice president of corporate sales development.
Pedersen has worked at AWG since 1997 in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as senior vice president and division manager in Oklahoma City. He began his grocery career in 1976 with Hinky Dinky and worked at Bag-n-Save and Hy-Vee prior to joining AWG.
