NEW YORK — Pierre-Olivier Beckers, president and chief executive of Brussels-based Delhaize Group, will give the opening address at a global meeting of food retailers and suppliers here next month.
He joins a virtual Who's Who of food retailing and manufacturing executives from around the world who will convene here for the 53rd World Food Business Summit, a conference to discuss global issues hosted by CIES — The Food Business Forum. This year's version of the event, dubbed “Ingredients for Success in Turbulent Times,” will take place at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel here. It will kick off with a local store tour June 16 followed by three days of speakers, panel discussions and business meetings June 17-19.
