Lidl plans to open the 25,000-square-foot store in McLean, Va., its 34th in the state, on June 1.

The self-serve bakery in the McLean store offers an array fresh-made bread, rolls, pastries, cookies and other baked goods.

Lidl US stores carry a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, including organic items.

The Flower Market section serves up a range of seasonal floral arrangements and potted plants at value prices.
