A family owner of Village Super Markets has sold nearly 30,000 shares of its stock in the company, recent financial filings show.
The estate of Perry Sumas retains more than 1.2 million shares, or an 11.7% stake, in Village, the Springfield, N.J.-based owner of 29 ShopRite stores. The open market sales — most recently a sale of 1,854 shares at $25.09 per share reported Monday — have raised more than $589,000 since Oct. 8.
