Environmental advocacy groups are putting pressure on Albertsons, Costco, Target and other grocers to promote sustainable fishing practices in Alaska’s Bering Sea.
Greenpeace, Mission Blue and Marine Conservation Institute launched a campaign called “Bring Balance Back to the Bering Sea” to urge supermarkets to protect marine ecosystems from harmful industrial fishing practices.
The three groups said they have erected billboards and posters in Seattle to draw attention to the campaign.
