Bashas’ opened its newly remodeled store in Carefree, Ariz., Wednesday.
The location combines new fresh offerings such as sushi, soup and a salad bar with an expanded Natural Choice area featuring a wider selection of organic and better-for-you foods.
“As a long-term retail partner, Bashas’ has fulfilled our needs for a number of years and has become a pillar of the community,” said Carefree Mayor Les Peterson in a statement. “We are thankful for the investment in Carefree and welcome the remodeled store back into the thriving Desert Foothills business community.”

The store features an expansive produce department.
Specialty cheese is cross-merchandised with complementary center store fare.
Bashas’ will give a free bag of groceries to the first 200 shoppers who spend $50 or more on groceries this Saturday.
Sushi chefs prepare a variety of sushi rolls and other specialties.
Soup and salad
Grab-and-go offerings include hot soups and fresh salads.
The store features a Starbucks café with indoor and outdoor seating.
