The Heights H-E-B, opened Jan. 30, houses more than 50,000 offerings. “We appreciate all of the support and effort by The Heights community that made it possible for H-E-B to build here,” H-E-B Food & Drug President Scott McClelland commented.
Fresh departments like produce are the heart of the store, which also includes an H-E-B Blooms! Floral area.
The full-service seafood counter serves up fresh fish and seafood, fresh sushi and poke bowls, handmade daily in-store by Sushiya.
A full bakery department and tortilleria offers organic and artisan breads made daily plus fresh tortillas and indulgent desserts, pastries and custom cakes.
Customers will find more than 1,800 bottles of wine and 300 beers, including Texas and hyperlocal craft brews. Both wine and beer can be sampled in-store.
On the second floor and with a separate entrance, the Roastery Coffee Kitchen offers specialty coffee from around the world, including varieties roasted in Houston.
An ample beauty and personal care section helps anchor the Heights H-E-B’s nonfood offerings.
The Prime Case Butcher Shop includes USDA prime, natural and organic meat; 21-day dry-aged beef; and a range of fully cooked and kosher items.
Live demos and daily samplings using quick and easy recipes are featured in the Cooking Connection and the Showtime Kitchen areas.
Items in the Healthy Living department include bulk foods such as honey, nuts, grains, dried fruits and snack mixes plus a wide assortment of supplements.
Along with a service deli, the Heights store contains the full line of H-E-B Meal Simple heat-and-eat foods.
On the first floor is a full-service pharmacy with drive-through access and a bike rack with 50 spaces.
