LUBBOCK, Texas — United Supermarkets here has launched adplex VirtualStore, an online circular program, and extended its printing contract with adplex, according to an announcement yesterday from Houston-based adplex. Key elements of VirtualStore include searchable weekly specials, streaming how-to videos, an online shopping list manager, on-line catering ordering, and a searchable, scalable recipe program. “Our new adplex-powered website is completely guest-focused, offering in-demand functionality and information that keeps people coming back to our site day after day,” said Dan Sanders, chief executive officer, United Supermarkets, in a statement. “Our new online circular also allows us an unparalleled ability to fully leverage our loyalty marketing efforts, and we expect to see a major return on this investment.” United Supermarkets, which has 46 grocery stores across west and north Texas under the United Supermarkets, Market Street and Super Mercado brands.
