NORTH BRANFORD, Conn. — Big Y Foods debuted a machine at a store here that churns out fresh rolls all day, the retailer announced on its Facebook page.

The bread machine from Chabaso Bakery, a local artisan bakery, delivers warm ciabatta rolls from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Rolls cost 50 cents.

Big Y’s Facebook followers expressed excitement about the new machine, however one fan was disappointed that customers don’t control when the rolls are dispensed.

“I thought we as the customer push a button and watch them bake," she said. Instead, the fan noted that on her visit to the store she found next to the machine a container of already baked rolls, which cooled down by the time she returned home.

"Still taste good though,” she said.
