LOS ANGELES — The Food Industry Executive Program at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California here said it will offer its first-ever conference outside California in Plano, Texas, Oct. 8-11.

Rick Rayford, president and chief executive officer of Brookshire Grocery Co., Tyler, Texas, will serve as executive in residence and will be a guest speaker, sharing highlights of his 41-year career and answering questions.

The four-day USC conference is designed for industry executives, managers and high-potential employees from retail, wholesale and packaged goods companies seeking to enhance their leadership and strategic-thinking skills. The event includes lectures by USC professors, group work projects, presentations and guest speakers.
