WHILE RETAILERS MULL OVER the best ways to draw more shoppers to their stores, manufacturers are likewise contemplating the keys to attracting retailer customers.

Topping the list of ways to persuade them are new products, according to 77.8% of manufacturers polled as part of SN's eighth annual survey of Center Store performance, and consumer insights, noted by 66.7%.

Curiously, consumer insights and new products were most commonly selected by manufacturers as areas still lacking/needing development in their company, with more than half (50.8%) citing consumers insights and 35.6%, new products.
