LAKELAND, Fla. – Publix has launched an ethnic food sales promotion.

The “Flavor Excursion” includes discounts on ingredients for various “Taste of the World” meals.

“Flavors from around the world are closer than you think — and so are the savings,” Publix states in promotional materials.

The chain’s weekly circular lists sales items, and recipes they can be used in. Among the sale items: Green Giant frozen corn, buy-one-get-one free, for Arroz Con Pollo; Progresso Recipe Starters cooking sauce, 4 for $6, for “Easy Curry Chicken”; and Tuttorosso crushed tomatoes, buy-one-get-one free, for Garden Primavera Pasta with Chicken.

The sale launched Thursday, and runs through Sept. 18.
