Big Y Foods here said Wednesday it has promoted Michael J. Galat to vice president of employee services and Jason Corriveau to director of frozen foods and dairy.
Galat, a 32-year Big Y veteran, had worked in various management positions before being names senior director of employee services last year.
In his new post he will oversee employee policies and procedures, training and development, benefits, wellness initiatives and more. He reports to Charles L. D’Amour, president and chief operating officer.
Corriveau previously had worked at Shaw’s Supermarkets and then was in category management at CVS Caremark from 2006 to 2011, when he joined Big Y.
