Bonacci joins Weis as marketing VP

Fomer United exec will oversee advertising, marketing

Weis Markets said Thirsday that Ron Bonacci has joined the company as VP of marketing and advertising.

Bonacci will have day-to-day oversight of the company’s advertising, marketing and public relations activities. He reports to Richard Gunn, SVP, merchandising and marketing. Bonacci succeeds Brian Holt, who recently took on a similar role at SpartanNash.

Ron_Bonacci.jpgPrior to joining Weis, Bonacci was senior director of marketing at United Supermarkets in Lubbock, Texas.  During his career, he worked in similar positions for Food City and S&H Solutions. Earlier in his career, he worked for Kroger in store operations, category management, merchandising and loyalty marketing.

“Ron Bonacci has extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams in developing and implementing strategies for customer relationship management, marketing and advertising,” Gunn said. “He will also oversee our growing digital program. We are pleased to welcome him to our company.”
