Fairway names Carlow new chief merchandising officer

Fairway Group Holdings said that Dorothy Carlow will be joining the company as chief merchandising officer, effective Nov. 3.

Fairway Group Holdings, New York, said that Dorothy Carlow will be joining the company as chief merchandising officer, effective Nov. 3.

Carlow will lead the merchandising team and the company's buying and sales strategies.

"Dorothy has experience in building innovative business plans to propel improved efficiency and sales," Jack Murphy, Fairway's newly appointed CEO, said in a statement. "Over her career, she has demonstrated talent for improving profitability through focused initiatives that standardize merchandising, purchasing, and ordering processes across a multi-state grocery store fleet."

Carlow comes to Fairway from her most recent position as CMO of Earth Fare, where she worked previously under Murphy.

Brian Riesenburger served most recently as CMO at Fairway.
