GMA Hires Walgreen Vet Hagan as VP

WASHINGTON — Grocery Manufacturers Association said Tuesday it has named Mandy N. Hagan vice president of state affairs and grassroots.

WASHINGTON — Grocery Manufacturers Association said Tuesday it has named Mandy N. Hagan vice president of state affairs and grassroots.

She joins GMA from Walgreen Co., where she was director of government relations for health and wellness. In this role, she led federal, state and local advocacy efforts for the retailer’s health and wellness division, including legislative campaigns, regulatory engagement and coalition building.

Prior to Walgreen, Hagan spent four years at the Consumer Healthcare Products Association as national director of state government relations. She got her start in the public policy field as a district representative for Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va.

In her new role at GMA, Hagan will be responsible for managing all state and local policy issues and advocacy activities on behalf of the food, beverage and consumer products industry. She will report to Louis Finkel, GMA’s executive vice president for government affairs.
