Rice Named VP at Jewel-Osco

ITASCA, Ill. — Jewel-Osco here, a division of New Albertsons Inc., said it has named Jim Rice vice president of operations.

ITASCA, Ill. — Jewel-Osco here, a division of New Albertsons Inc., said it has named Jim Rice vice president of operations.

He succeeds Nick Bertram, who left Jewel-Osco to become senior vice president, store strategy and execution, for Ahold USA.

Rice has been with NAI and with the original Albertsons organization for more than 35 years. He previously was a store director in Southern California, district manager in both Florida and Las Vegas, vice president of the Northern California division and ultimately president of the Southwest division.

NAI is a division of Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons LLC.
